SAN FRANCISCO – April 9, 2009 – Advent Software, Inc. (NASDAQ: ADVS), a leading provider of software and services for the global investment management industry, today announced that its Investment Management Group (IMG) Client Support and Professional Services organizations have achieved certification under the prestigious Service Capability & Performance (SCP) Standards.

The SCP Standards quantify the effectiveness of customer support and services based upon a stringent set of performance standards and represents best practices in the industry.  Advent achieved certification after extensive audits of its San Francisco, CA support and services centers.  It is the fourth straight year that IMG Client Support achieved certification under the program, and the first year for IMG Professional Services.

“These certifications represent milestones that demonstrate Advent’s ongoing investment in our clients’ success and our focus on delivering world-class service and support,” said Chad Williams, Vice President of IMG Services and Renewals.  “I am pleased to say that the SCP Program has become a fully integrated part of Advent’s business and culture; and we continue to set ourselves apart in the industry as the only financial services software firm to have achieved this distinction.”

“By passing the rigorous requirements necessary to achieve SCP Certification, Advent Software has made it clear they are committed to delivering world-class support to their customers,” said Derek Nash, SCP Auditor.  “During the SCP audit, Advent Software demonstrated a clear commitment to customer satisfaction and continuous improvement.”

“The SCP Standards represent the global standard for service quality and are used by leading technology companies around the world,” said Greg Coleman, Vice President of Strategic Programs for Service Strategies. “Advent can be proud to be among the industry leaders in service excellence through their attainment of certification under the SCP Standards program.”

The SCP Support and Professional Services Standards are part of a suite of service capability and performance standards designed to improve the quality and effectiveness of technology service operations. A consortium of leading technology companies and Service Strategies Corporation, created the internationally recognized standards, which define best practices for delivering world-class technology service and support, quantify performance levels and establish a foundation to build on existing quality processes. Certification requires comprehensive audits and annual recertification to confirm that companies continue to meet the requirements of the program.

The achievement puts Advent among the ranks of other leading companies that have achieved the SCP Certification, including EMC Corporation, Lockheed Martin Incorporated, GE Healthcare, McKesson Corporation, Rockwell Automation, Nokia and NetApp, among others.
